Conclusion

The goals of this webquest was for you to experience history as a first-hand adventure! It's so easy to get bored when reading a textbook about things that happened to people you don't know. By doing this webquest, I hope that you were able to develop some relationships with people who are older than you. I hope that through these relationships you were able to learn new and exctinginformation about the historical events and eras we learn about in class frome someone who can actually give you a first-hand account of their experiences during these times.

Also during this webquest, I hope that you were able to gain an appreciation for not only the importance of world history, but your own family history as well. Hopefully this project has given you a desire to seek more information about your ancestry. I think this webquest is also useful because it provides you with an opportunity to learn several useful skills, including conducting interviews, using Microsoft Word to prepare a neat report, and working as a group to create a finished product.

This webquest also met several standards for your learning of English and writing. Through completing the tasks on this webquest, you should have learned many skills that will improve your understanding of English and appropriate writing. I hope that this webquest has fostered in you a desire to learn more about history, writing, and the importance of developing relationships with your elders. Our past is key to our future!
