Evaluation

Your grade for this webquest will be divided into 4 parts:

* Interview (25%)

*Content of Oral History Reports (25%)

*Completion of 1 of the 3 projects on family geneaology (25%)

*Cooperation in group effort to complete the finished product of the book (25%)

How will each section be graded?

Interviews:

*Participation in class discussions held in preparation for conducting interviews

*Preparation for conducting the interviews (Did you research the websites that were listed that offered info on different historical events? Were you well prepared with questions that were relevant for conducting an interview on oral histories?)

*Appropriateness of the individuals chosen to interview (Was the person able to provide you with information that was relevant to the historical period you wanted to learn about?)

*Timeliness in completion of interview

*Appropriate follow-up after the interview (writing and sending thank you cards)

Oral History Reports

*Is the report appropriately transcribed from the actual interview?

*Have you typed up your report in a neat manner on Microsoft Word?

*Is the report well written and gramatically correct?

*Does the report offer information on the historical events and eras that the person you interviewed has experienced? Does it provide evidence that you have learned significant information about the time periods the person told you about?

*Timeliness in Completion of Oral History Reports as described in the Process section of this webquest.

Family Geneaology Project

*Participation in class discussions on family history in preparation to conduct family geneaology interviews

*Preparation for interviews (Did you review the website offered as resources to prepare you to conduct research on your family geneaology?)

*Did you interview family members to get all of the information you could about your family history?

*Completion of 1 of the 3 family geneaology projects listed under the Process section (Is your project neat, well written, and gramatically correct? Does it show evidence that you have conducted an interview regarding your family history? Does it provide some detailed information on some events or people in your family history?)

*Timeliness in completion of Family Geneaology Project as described in the Process section of this Webquest.

Participation in Group Effort

*Have you actively participated in all class discussions that have prepared us for this project?

*Did you provide positive and constructive feedback during the peer editing process?

*Did you complete all of your assignments in a timely manner so that the book could be completed on time?

*Did you help in desiging the layout for the book?

*Were you supportive in publishing and distributing the book?
