You have an important mission! Our class has been chosen to put together a very interesting book. Not only will you receive copies of this book to share with your family and friends, but it will also be placed in the city archives and the town library for people to read for years to come! What kind of book will this be? It will be a book containing exciting adventures, dramatic personal stories, and even stories about your own family!

This lesson is designed to help young students such as yourselves to develop relationships with older people, and, through those relationships, to make history come alive by talking to someone who actually lived through and experienced the major historical events that we learn about in our textbooks. This lesson will also give you as students an opportunity to begin learning about the importance of your own family history. So if you're ready to accept your mission, let's get started!!!
